Two Lilypad Learning educators presenting to a full room of youth
Sponsor a workshop

Put your name on the class every teen should get.

Lilypad Learning delivers free, peer-led financial literacy workshops to youth across Calgary. Our educators volunteer their time. Sponsors cover the materials, printing and travel that get us into the room. Every dollar goes directly to programming.

Why it matters

73% of Canadian high schoolers know they aren't ready to make financial decisions.

We are a student-run, Alberta-registered not-for-profit closing that gap one workshop at a time. In 2025 we reached roughly 150 youth across 13 workshops, with a statistically significant lift in financial literacy after a single session. Our 2026 goal is 200+ youth.

Ways to support

Every level comes with a year-end impact summary and public thanks. Amounts are a guide; we are a student-run not-for-profit and even a single sponsored workshop makes a real difference.

What your support funds

The unglamorous stuff that gets us in the room.

  • Materials and printing: activity sheets, budgeting worksheets, pre- and post-session surveys.
  • Getting there: travel to schools and communities across Calgary and surrounding areas, including Mînî Thnî.
  • Educator training: onboarding and facilitator training for each new cohort of student volunteers.
  • Outreach: flyers, banners and campus recruiting so the program keeps growing.
  • Evaluation: the survey work behind our annual statistical report, so you can see the impact you funded.
